By Any Means: Revised

During last critique, there were a lot of good feedback. The one that kept reoccurring would have to be clarity of story and the need to see struggle. SO, that's what I did. But unlike the first film made (with it's obnoxiously long introduction), the camera is shaky. The shot changes aren't the cleanest and the audio is terrible. Although this has a stronger story, the technical side of this film lacked.

Feedback from first film:
  • There was too much anticipation (nothing was really happening in the beginning of the film and can be edited out)
  • 3 ACTS (MAP TIME)
    • First fourth is all about set up
    • Continuing half is the rising action
    • The last fourth is the conclusion
  • Continuity errors in the first film (like the hat dangle-ees???) are there and then not
  • All over the place
  • Desire of more animation to help develop story
  • Desire to know more about the hat (the hat's interaction with people)
  • Overall, too slow
So, this film's anticipation is decreased, but I'm not entirely happy on how it turned out. I guess it's partially because I had this idea in my head, and when it finally was laid out in film, it was a huge disappointment. My camera had a weird thing of zooming in on its own, the audio was terrible, and the resolution is so-so at best. Not to mention that the animation is a bit of a downer too.

But there is more of a story. The film is set up, but then gets into the action. The ending seems to be rushed and slightly uncared for when I was re-watching this film. However, I do see some improvement from the previous film.
